CELLA International Conference

The CELLA Annual Conference serves as a premier intellectual flagship event, convening researchers, literary critics, linguists, and educators from across Cameroon and the international academic community. Designed to interrogate the dynamic intersections between language, literature, and interdisciplinary connections, these gatherings provide a rigorous forum for exploring complex socio-cultural realities, evolving global linguistic trends, and multidisciplinary paradigms. Attendees engage with cutting-edge scholarship that addresses pressing contemporary themes ranging from postcolonial identities and multilingualism to digital media transformations and educational policies in the humanities.

Beyond paper presentations and panel sessions, the conference calendar is anchored by prestigious fixtures, including the Kashim Ibrahim Tala Annual Lecture (KITAL) and the Paul Mbangwana Annual Lecture (PMAL), alongside plenaries delivered by world-renowned specialists. These vibrant annual meetings not only foster vital mentorship networks for postgraduate students and emerging scholars, but also generate peer-reviewed research outputs subsequently featured in association publications. By balancing rigorous academic debate with collaborative networking and cultural festivities, the conference remains a driving force for intellectual innovation and institutional solidarity in scholarship.
